QOTM: What do you do to keep fit during the winter season?

In Australia it’s winter right now. For regular fitness, I lift 70-80kg of weights in my home gym. For additional fun, I play the position of Goal Keeper in a regional netball team. I also walk the local 6km lake circuit track. Even on a cold breezy winter’s morning like today I’m out there, braving the uncomfortable elements and permitting the current of air to mess up my hair. The track is very popular with both the locals and tourists – very scenic and beaming with wildlife.

Then there are my seasonal active interests with my winter favourite being advancing up the mountain for a ski.

For me, the benefits of health and fitness are not just about keeping a desirable shape for securing those profitable modelling contracts. More importantly, the benefits are about keeping active for a life of pleasure and ease of movement.
